It depends upon the date. Some clients choose to contract a year or more in advance, while some are comfortable waiting until several months prior. Saturdays are the busiest nights, so waiting too long to hire a DJ (or any service) for a Saturday night might lead to disappointment. We only require a $100 deposit to lock in your date.
How much does it cost to book a gig?
There is no cost to book the gig, but there is a $100 security deposit that we need to make sure that we have the date you want locked in. Because when we get the date for the gig, we plan on nothing else but your gig.
How do I know that the date I book is locked in?
Before we even say yes to your date we make sure that date is clear of any other occations, or plans. Then once we agree on your date we will make sure that we do not plan anything for that date besides your gig.
Music
Of course! It's your party! You can suggest a few songs, or even the entire playlist for the whole night! We will never turn down a request, but we may make suggestions. It's your party, celebrate it how you want.
I have a playlist of music that I would really like, do you have all the songs on it?
I have a collection of over 50,000 songs in my active playlist. If I do not have some songs you are looking for I can easily aquire them. Don't worry if I have the song or not, just tell me what you want.
What if I don't know what to play at my party?
If you don't know what you want, don't worry. I will be glad to look over a couple of songs to sort of get a feel as to what you are wanting to listen to. We will figure it out.
I have a collection of 50,000 strong and I can always get more. I have no problem expanding my library if I do not have what you are looking for.
What if I want to suggest a song mid-party?
We will have a sheet made special for making suggestions throughout the party. We will try to incorperated all songs on the list, but we can not guarantee that they will all be played.
I have my own CD/MP3 Player that I would like to use. Can you use that?
Absolutely! We can easily incorperate your musics from your CD, iPod, phone, etc. Just be sure that if it is a MP3 device that it has a 3.5 mm Audio jack for us to plug into.
Cost
I live more than 10 miles outside of Burlington, will I be charged extra?
Yes. There is a $10 charge to anyone who lives 10 or more miles outside of Burlington, Wisconsin.
What if none of your packages have what I am looking for?
If none of our packages spark interest to you, then check out our Build-Your-Own packages! These packages allow you to select what you would like at your party/event, and lowers the price of things by excluding things that you don't think are necessary.
Preview
What if I want to preview an event of yours? Could I maybe come to part of another event that you are working at?
We are hesitant on agreeing to let you go to another clients party, because it is not our party we are just merely a guest. But if you would like we could ask that client if you could have the permission to come, and how long you would be able to stay. We are also trying to work on setting up some example videos of what our business is all about.
Announcements and Karaoke
I have some things that need to be announced at my event, can you do that for me?
Yes! We have our own microphone and we would love to announce anything for you. Just be sure that you understand what we announce is what you are saying, we are just relaying the message.
The DJ
We have muliple DJs to choose from, but based on time and schedules you do not get to pick your DJ. We will let you know who your DJ is in advance and if things chage we will be sure to let you know. All of our DJs are properly trained and are all kind and helping.
I would like the DJ to be dressed nice. Is that a problem?
Of course not! We will dress to the occasion. If you need us to wear Khakis and a polo, we will be glad to do so. Just be sure to tell us what to wear before the event. We will also try to remember to ask what we should wear, long before your event.
Equipment
How long does the equipment usually take to set up?
We like to arrive usually 90 minutes before the event actually begins, just to be sure that we have enough time in case something were to happen. But usually the set up only takes about 45 minutes of total time to set up all of our equipment.
We need as many you can supply. We can usually deal with four outlets due to our extension cords and power strips, but we could always use more to get the most antiquate amount of energy. Plus the less power being drawn from one outlet the safer things are.
We have over twenty lights on over four stands that supply plenty of light to brighten your party and to go with the music. Our lights sync and flash to the tunes while you dance the night away.
